How to cure back acne?

Acne is a common problem to almost everyone. It not only sprouts up when one reaches the age of puberty, but also lasts longer than that. It occurs when hair follicles and pores get clogged due to the additional amount of sebum on skin’s surface. When cells die they will have no way to escape the skin. Together with the sebum they attract attacks from bacteria. This bacterial attack causes acne formation.

Though the same principle applies to the formation of acne on the face and back, it is not so easy to cure back acne because the back is difficult to reach when you wash your body. Moreover, it is the body part that is pressed on by your body weight when you sleep. This physical pressure worsens the existing acne on your back.

How to cure back acne?

  • Do not wear tight clothes as they can irritate your sensitive skin and cause more acne. Wash your body, especially your back thoroughly every day.
  • Use soaps that contain salicylic acid.
  • Change your bed sheets frequently because they may have billions of bacteria which attack your back skin whenever possible.
  • You should consult your doctor if there are more acne on your back.
  • Never touch or squeeze your acne. If you do it, it spreads the infection to other skin areas and results in more acne.
  • A healthy diet rich in vitamins and low in fat and sugar helps prevent extra oil on your skin and thus prevents formation of more acne.
  • Drinking a lot of water and avoiding staying up late also help in the cure of acne in general.
