Wash your face regularly with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser to remove excess oil, dead skin cells, and impurities.
Most of the topical creams for acne contain ingredients that make your skin dry. It is advisable for you to use a gel based moisturizer which will reduce your skin dryness.
It is better that you don’t use harsh chemical, oils or fragrances on your hair as they may drip on your face and might block you skin pores. Use mild shampoo and conditioner. If you have long hair then tie them properly.
Sun exposure can enhance your skin redness and inflammation. Oral and topical acne medication increases your skin’s sensitivity towards sunlight. It is better that you apply a sunscreen or sun block before you go out in sun.
Eat healthy food and avoid oily, greasy and junk foods. Include lot of Vitamin A and beta-carotene in your diet as it will enhance your skin health.
Stress and tension might flare up your acne. So keep yourself calm and relaxed.
