Acne is can be break out on arms, neck, back, chest and other areas. However, acne along the jawline can be very distressing and irritating. Among women, jawline acne is mostly associated with hormonal imbalance. Increase in the male hormones can result in jawline acne. There are many other reasons why jawline acne can be caused. However, proper hygiene, regular cleansing can help you to avoid jawline acne.
Factors Causing Jawline Acne:
- Hormone imbalance: Excessive production of male hormones can cause jawline acne in women. To overcome this, women can take birth control pills such as Ortho Tri-cyclin, Estrostep or Spironolactone.
- Hair: People with long hair have trouble with jawline acne. The hair, which contains oil and dirt, often touches the jaw, causing clogging of skin acne. To avoid this, tie up your hair or keep your hair away from the jaw
- Make-up: Make-up creases and cakes around the jawline. This can clog the skin pores, accumulate dirt and cause aggravate. To avoid this, use wash your face thoroughly before going to bed to get rid of the make-up.
- Sweat: Athletes usually face this problem. The sweat drips near the jawline and then falls off. This can accumulate dirt and cause acne. To solve this problem, you can wear a headband or use a napkin and clean up the sweat
- Resting the palms: Many people have the habit of resting the palms under the chin or touching the jawline. The dirt present in the hand can combine with the sweat and cause acne near the jawline. Hence, avoid resting your palms to prevent jawline acne
- Neglecting the washing of jawline: We often cleanse our face thoroughly, but may neglect the jawline. Improper washing of jawline can cause clogging of pores and acne outbreak. So, the next time you have a face wash, do not neglect your jawline
- Allergies: Allergy to certain cosmetics can also cause rashes and acne. To prevent this, you can use hypoallergenic cosmetics or try switching brands
Jawline acne can also be prevented by proper exfoliation of the jawline area. Washing the jawline and keeping it clean can help you to be free of jawline acne.
