The scorching summer is back and just when you think you can enjoy life like you didn’t enjoy during the winters, go out without all that additional clothing, its time to think again.
Summers may be an excuse to be a little out-going but prolonged exposure to the summer sun may lead to many skin problems along with Acne.
Prolonged exposure to sunlight generally burns off the top layer of your facial skin. That is why all the dermatologists and cosmetologists, time and again ask you to wear a sunscreen whenever you go out in the sun. But you possibly cannot use the same sunscreen as your best friend does. Everyone has different skin type and choosing a sunscreen according to that is a difficult task.
If you have a dry skin you can get away with an oil based sunscreen lotion but if your skin doesn’t like oil, you should look for an oil-free sunscreen. Oil-based or Oil-free, sunscreen is a must for your skin especially if you have acne.
Summer is also the time when you sweat a lot. Sweat clogs your pores so the sebum cannot flow out of your skin. This can lead to a severe acne breakout just in about a day or two. And since you keep wiping your face with your shirt or a towel, you may let the dirt and waste accumulate on your skin. In such a case it is better to wash your face with plain water or a non-drying acne face wash.
Therefore, wash your face often and invest in a good sunscreen for an Acne-free summer.
