Microdermabrasion for a Flawless Skin

Microderm abrasion is a simple, straight forward, non-invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, reduces mild pigment irregularities (hyperpigmentation), stretch marks and age spots.
This acne scar treatment option improves overall skin tone and lustre and appears to help superficial mild acne scars. It also works best if you get a series of at least 6 peels, having one every 1-2 weeks. Although the face is the most common area, other sun damaged areas such as the neck, chest, arms and hands may be treated. The effects may be more pronounced than glycolic acid peels, and should be used for those patients who do not yet require laser skin resurfacing or who do not want to deal with the longer healing time.
Microdermabrasion machines are made of a compressor and pump that mix gentle abrasion with suction to peel the outer skin layer (10-15 microns of skin, a layer so thin that you can’t see it). The entire procedure, unlike dermabrasion or laser skin surgery, doesn’t take more than 30-60 minutes. You can have it on the face, neck, chest, back, feet and hands.
It uses very fine aluminum crystals to create a micro dermabrasion effect on the skin. The treatment it doesn’t hurt at all. People generally say that at most, they felt a tingling sensation during treatment and a windburn-like sensation afterwards. The skin does look slightly red in the first 24 hours, but that’s where the discomfort ends. But the best part of microdermabrasion is that while it’s equally effective to other, more invasive skin procedures, it allows you to get back to your daily routine immediately afterwards.
